  1. Our condo (Burnham Station) is trying to get its ‘Green’ together. Would be possible to get more information about specific steps taken by the other condos in the South Loop to initiate this kind of effort?

Specifically, in our discussions, we think that as a first step we need to carry out some sort of mechanicals/energy costs audit in order to understand where we can make an impact on energy usage in the building. Are our systems efficient? Do we lose a lot by having lights on all the time? Are there cheap and easy fixes that provide a first step to improving efficiency, etc, etc.

I’ve seen the blog post about ‘Basic Green Efforts’ and we are implementing some of those, of course.

But what would be helpful would be:
    a) links and/or background information justifying or rationalizing the suggested steps, and
    (b) specific information about how our neighbors have moved forward.

To that end, would it be possible to post online the documents submitted by the various organizations as part of their winning applications for the Greener South Loop Award?

Equally valuable, would it be possible to identify a ‘contact person’ at each condo association who we could then approach to get advice and information?
