Over the years, the Alliance has recognized, through friendly competition, efforts being made by local residential buildings, businesses, and community institutions to “go greener.” We celebrate these efforts, and recognize their contributions to a Greener South Loop.
The application for recognition was comprehensive, and judges volunteered their unbiased expertise to recognize achievements, using a rubric to judge on merits. Winners received plaques and everyone enjoyed the award festivities.
In 2012, in addition to recognizing buildings, businesses, and institutions, the Alliance expanded the program to recognize an individual “Greener Hero.” See list below for Entrants/Winners, Judges, and Ceremony Hosts, by year.
